Ferrari Top Design School Challenge: How will the Ferrari of 2040 look?

After success in 2005 and 2012, Ferrari ran the Ferrari Top Design School Challenge again in 2015. Around 50 design schools from around the globe took up their pencils and sketched the Ferrari of the year 2040. Now we know who won.

The Manifesto, FL and de Esfera were announced as the winners of the third "Ferrari Top Design School Challenge". The jury, consisting of Ferrari experts as well as Sebastian Vettel, crowned the Manifesto design study as the prize winner of the "Gran Premio Assoluto". The students of the ISD-Rubika in Valenciennes/France convinced the jury with a "logical overall vision". The "impressive door mechanism" was one area that the judges mentioned especially.

German interior design study garners praise

The "FL" design study by Roman Egorov from Pforzheim University earned special praise from the jury. Whilst the design concept merely shows an interior with sophisticated materials, it "implemented an extremely unconventional interior design language very successfully, in which the interface is reinterpreted and well integrated", in the words of the jury.

The "Premio Special" was awarded to the Esfera design study thanks to an online poll. The model was developed by three students from Hongik University in Korea.

The jury of 2015 chose four designs for the final round. In addition to the winning schools, the US College for Creative Studies in Detroit made it to the finals.
